ACENET: Introductory Programming with R

Using software-carpentry.org materials this workshop introduces you to the fundamentals of R

This is a beginner level workshop series that is hands-on, covering the fundamentals of R, including data types, functions, importing, manipulating and analyzing data and data visualization as well as program design, data management, and task automation. Participants will be encouraged to help one another and to apply what they have learned to their own research problems. The goal is to teach the practical knowledge needed to start programming, debugging and using R in everyday tasks. 

You do not need to have any previous knowledge of the tools that will be presented at the workshop.

You do need to have a laptop with a Mac, Linux or Windows operating system (not a tablet, Chromebook, etc) on which you have administrative privileges, as you will need to pre-load specific software packages. 

This workshop will take place on:

Tuesday, October 11th, 1:00-5:00pm (Atlantic)

Thursday, October 13th, 1:00-5:00pm

Joining instructions will be provided prior to the first session.

Participants must register using their institutional / organizational email address (not a personal email, ie. gmail)
