ACENET's own Dr. Gurpreet Matharoo has just published a paper alongside Dalhousie's Dr. Javeria Hashmi in Physica A. Entitled "Spontaneous back-pain alters randomness in functional connections in large scale brain networks: A random matrix perspective", the research uses functional MRIs and behavioural data from patients over a six month period to examine how random correlations in brain networks decrease when the brain is focused on pain.
